On my 3rd attempt this does work. I did just about everything that these forums said, but to no avail. I finally rang Microsoft well, I got them to ring me, on their call back service. When you do that, you actually go back to your original Windows 10 and you lose all your third party programmes that you installed. This, actually took about 3 hours, plus another 3 days or so reinstalling all my other software.
Bit of a pain really. But there were 2 good outcomes The first was I cleared out a lot of crap from my PC, and the second One nice little touch which helped me alot was that Windows 10 had saved a complete list of all the programmes that had been deleted on to my desktop.
This helped a lot throughout the reinstalling process. Try downloading that app or game from Microsoft Store again. Try restoring your computer if nothing else works. These two steps are often recommended as a last resort when nothing else solves a critical error or issue.
