The habits work in a three-stage habit loop which consists of the cue, routine and the reward. Cue is the trigger which guides the brain to adopt a particular habit. The reward is the feelings or sensations produced by the routine. The type of feelings and their positivity decide if the habit will be imbibed and become permanent.
