Olimar and Louie send the Pikmin cute innocent wonderful creatures to dangerous areas and certain death situations to find treasure and to pay their company's debt. The amazing thing is that the game is adorable and just wonderful from start to finish.
I loved every second. This game is amazing, and much better than the previous game. There is nothing I would change in this game, It's just that perfect. This game has amazing replay value too. I also totally like the new idea of the two player game such as battle mode and challenge mode. They are loads of fun. Captain Omar is travelling in outer space when suddenly a meteroid hits his ship! He manages to manuever to the closest planet, but his rocket falls apart on the way down.
He awakens to find a strange race that he names Pikmin, and enlists their help to put his ship back together before his life support runs out. Leveraging their unique capabilities to battle enemies guarding salvageable goods.
Building constructs over nuances and generally providing humor the way through the game. Players will feel as if it's a faster-paced real-time strategy with Puzzle seasonings. You can use up to Pikmin to get rid of hostiles and hand over that valuable battery or soda can - while figuring out how to best use their traits. There's no real unfolding story within Pikmin 2 - but the gameplay and lighthearted approach to challenge provide enough entertainment to eliminate the need for a narrative.
Players can enjoy the silly sounds and bizarre sights as they work their way through the game, selling off treasures to quell the crippling debt. There is never a dull moment. The first Pikmin was already a fantastic game - but Pikmin 2 identified the predecessor's shortcomings and glossed over them.
The remarkable feats are the visuals and animations look brilliant - the artificial intelligence of the Pikmin is spot on - and there are many challenges to be had without frustration. Overlord is entertaining but lacks the universal accessibility of Pikmin.
So, if you're looking for a well-rounded, silly game to invest some hours into - Pikmin 2 is your asset. The astro-baby stars of Pikmin 2 are a lot of things--thimble tall, in tune with flora, at odds with fauna--but right now, more than anything, they're late. I know I love Pikmin 2. But what I don't know, can't figure out, is if I loved the game before I saw the Nintendo Hot Dog commercial ' probably the best Nintendo commercial ever.
I guess it doesn't really matter, what does matter is that you go out right now and buy Pikmin 2. It's a fantastic sequel to the original game adding the ability to play coop or adversarial multiplayer modes. In the sequel you take on the roll of Captain Olimar as he tries to scavenge enough scrap to get his boss's company out of debt. This time around you can also control Louie, Olimar's dim sidekick.
